Holiday traditions have always been extremely important to my family and Halloween traditions are no exceptions! Up until a few years ago, I’ve tried to rack my brain to find unique and fun traditions as my family has grown bigger and bigger. Whether you’re looking for big extravagant traditions or something a little bit more simple, we’ve rounded up our favorites in our Halloween tradition guide below!
Haunted Gingerbread House
I think this may be a better activity for me rather than my kiddos! In my house, we really love creating things together. And gingerbread houses around Christmas are fun and everything, but who doesn’t love a haunted gingerbread house?
Visit a Pumpkin Patch
The tried and true tradition – pumpkin patches! This is always an activity I love to do with my family because it finally makes me feel like fall is officially here. If you live in a big city, you can even try to visit a different one every year!
Before you go into full planning mode, planning a costume party is much simpler than it may sound. All you need are some snacks, some drinks, and some great rules for a killer costume (get it!?). This is a great tradition to start especially if your kiddos vary in age. This is something the whole family can enjoy together, no matter their ages!
Baking a Halloween Dessert
One of my favorite things about the holiday season, baking has always been a steady family tradition. Ever since I can remember, every holiday was celebrated by baking goods. You can create some new family recipes or take your pick off of Pinterest. Either way, you’ll make memories you’ll remember for life!
We hope this Halloween tradition guide helps you find something that your whole family will adore for years to come! What are some of your favorite Halloween traditions? Let us know in the comments below!
