Memorial Day weekend is right around the corner so you know what that means – pool party season! It’s one of the best times of the year to keep your kiddos entertained and gives you some time for a little R&R, too. If you’re thinking about hosting a pool party this year, we’ve gathered some of our favorite tips for hosting a pool party full of summer fun!
Have Plenty of Extras
Even though it’s common etiquette, not everyone will bring towels, sunscreen, or anything else they might need for the day. It’s always a great idea to grab a few extras to make sure no one is left out in the fun! If you want to be a really great hostess, you can always buy favors or little goody bags for everyone to take home with them after the fun is over!
Staying Cool and Hydrated
If you live in the south, you know how hot the summers can be. Make sure you are going to a pool that has multiple areas with shade to accommodate the guests who might be extra sensitive to the sun! Don’t forget to provide some water bottles too so no one gets sick!
This one goes without saying, doesn’t it? There are few things as important as the snacks at a pool party! Whether you decide to go potluck-style or provide it all yourself, make sure you have some goodies to munch on throughout the day!
The one thing that’s definitely more important than the snacks is the safety of your guests. Make sure you go over boundaries and rules and don’t be afraid to enforce them! Especially if you’re hosting little ones, it’s always a good idea to make sure everyone can enjoy themselves and have a good time.
Last but not least, enjoy yourself! There’s nothing like gathering your friends and family for a day of fun in the sun. Hosting a pool party should be fun for everyone, but especially the hosts!
