Every morning isn’t as picture perfect as your favorite rom-com, but that doesn’t mean leaving your warm bed has to be miserable! Taking just a few minutes can make a huge difference, and can help you feel super excited to take on your busy day. We have a super easy routine that can be done before your second alarm after snooze goes off. This routine can easily become a habit, and form your dreaded Monday morning routine into the mornings you’ve always dreamed of!
Turn off that first alarm
This should take you about 10-15 seconds in the morning. Put your phone on your vanity, in your bathroom, or somewhere else that’s inconvenient. This way, you’ll have get up to turn it, which highly reduces the chances of hitting snooze. Make sure to smile and be happy when you first get out of bed. Yell it’s going to be a perfect day, and you’re already starting off great!
Let in The Sun
This should take about 1 minute! Let that sweet morning sunshine in and let your body know it’s time to get up, and to release some of those happy hormones!
Meditation is Key
This should take no more than two minutes. Take a minute to really plan out your day. What are some things that might stress you out? How can you avoid or improve those situations? Try to plan out anything that might draw a snag in your day and think about ways to avoid conflict or stress!
Be Grateful
This should take only a minute or so. Make a point to literally recite what you’re thankful for. Sit in front of the mirror and say out loud what you’re thankful for today, and try to add something from what you said yesterday. Reminding yourself of what you’re appreciative for allows you to have a day full of happiness, smiles, and being more compassionate and thoughtful of others.
Make Your Bed
This should take up to two minutes. Making sure you have a nice and neat room to come home to really does reduce any stress or tension you may feel on your way home. Use any extra time to put away any clothes, shoes or accessories lying around!
Rock Out
This should take a minute or so, or whatever time you have left. Make a playlist of songs that get you pumped up for the day and put you in a great mood! You’ll feel awake and energized, and a lot happier throughout your morning and day.
In order to have a good day, you don’t have to wake up an hour earlier or quit your stressful job. By taking just a few minutes each morning, you can wake up to a beautiful day and make every day the best day yet! What are some of your favorite quick morning routines? Leave your comments below!
