Football season is around the corner which means that tailgating will be in full swing every weekend. While you are having fun with friends and family gearing up for the game, it is a good idea to have fun activities for the kids as well. Here are some fun tailgating activities for your child:
Face painting station
What kid doesn’t love to get their face painted? Set up a station and let the most artistic friend in your tailgate group paint the kid’s faces. They will feel included in the pregame fun and also be in full décor for their favorite team.
Something about tailgating brings the competitive spirit out in everyone. Set up a Baggo tournament for the kids or include the adults too. Throw in a fun prize like your favorite team t-shirt and really bump up the stakes.
Team coloring sheet station
Print off a few coloring sheets with your team’s mascot and let your kids color while tailgating. If there is a meet and greet before or after the game, your child can get their artwork signed by their favorite player.
If there is more space, let your kids have a touch football game with the fellow tailgaters. Parental supervision may be required to make sure touch does not turn to tackle.
If you really want to get the party started, set up a karaoke machine and for the kids to belt out their favorite jam. This is a great activity for the adults to join in too.
Set up a specified food table or area for the kids with all of their favorite foods. This will keep the little fingers out of the adult’s food platters.
Tailgating before the game is such a fun event for the whole family. Use these fun tailgating activities to get your kids involved and everyone will enjoy the day!
