Earth-Sun Day is almost here! Similar to Earth Day in April, it’s a day dedicated to celebrating the beauty of our sun and what it does for our favorite planet. I love any education opportunity to teach my kiddos a little more about life, and what better way to do that than through some really awesome crafts? We’ve gathered some of our favorite Earth-Sun Day inspired crafts that will be a blast for both you and your kiddos to make. Check out the tutorials below!
Earth Themed Crayons and Play Dough
What’s better than making your own crayons, right!? These crayons are super easy to make and really do look just like the earth. You can take it one step farther by making some green or blue play dough and even gift these to friends, neighbors, or classmates.
Earth Day Slime
Is slime still a thing? If so, this is a super awesome tutorial for some seriously earth-themed slime. Your kiddos will have blast making it and playing with it, and you might even be able to sneak in a lesson about Earth-Sun Day!
Earth Day Science Lava Lamps
This craft may not help you save the earth, but it’s a super fun activity that has a lot of potential for an educational lesson. You and your kiddos can explore a little bit of chemistry all while having a blast together! I love to use blue and green for Earth-Sun Day, but feel free to use whatever colors you guys want.
While I wish there were some fun crafts out there that would help us save the world one craft at a time, we might have to wait until next year for some ideas. These crafts do open the door for you to teach your kiddos about loving our planet and minimizing our carbon footprint. What are some of your favorite Earth-Sun Day crafts?
