Thanksgiving has officially come and gone so you know what’s next – Black Friday and Cyber Monday! But between me and you, I just can’t get into Black Friday. I’m still full-on turkey, pecan pie, and can’t even think about plowing through 200 strangers. But what I can get on board with? Cyber Monday! It’s a great day to snag some deals, get some early Christmas shopping done, all in the comfort of your own. Here are our 5 favorite tips to survive Cyber Monday.
Have a Budget
First things first, make sure you set a budget. Small or large, you need a starting place so you can make sure you don’t put yourself in a bad position later in the day. The budget is king!
Know What You Want to Buy
Before you start going all-out, make sure you know what you’re looking for. That means getting everyone’s Christmas lists and stick to that list. You can divide it up by store, by person or whatever you feel is best! But make sure you know what you’re looking for so you can hop on the retailer’s website and hope right back off.
Do Your Research
We always want the best deal, right? So do your research! Try to see how much these products or items cost normally to see how much you’re actually saving. Better yet, look at different retailer’s ads to make sure you’re getting the best deal out there. Price matching included!
Think About Shipping
If you’re thinking of buying any big items, shipping may be a pretty big deal. If you’re getting a $20 discount but shipping is going to be $70, it may not be worth it. Either way, it’s a good thing to keep in mind before you get caught up in the chaos of missing out on a good deal!
Know When Enough is Enough
Most importantly, don’t forget about the budget we talked about earlier. When you’re getting close to hitting it or you’ve bought everything that you need, it’s time to call it quits. Cyber Monday is a great way to save some extra cash but make sure you don’t break the bank while you’re at it.
