Being a mom is a hard yet rewarding job. Making time for yourself just isn’t in the cards most of the time. I’m here to tell you how to simplify your beauty routine so that you don’t feel rushed. Rushing through a makeup routine that has a bunch of steps is worse than only using a few steps but spending enough time on each step. Yes, you can simplify your beauty routine and look better than before, I promise!
Primer
Primer is the barrier between your makeup and your pores and keeps your makeup in place. This takes less than 10 seconds to apply and will allow you to not have to touch up your makeup for the rest of the day.
Liquid Foundation
Find a liquid foundation with full coverage! Yes, there are ones out there that are not thick as syrup and leave you with a cake face. Coverage does not equal more or thicker product. Don’t buy into that!
Pressed Powder
Set with a pressed powder to keep your skin from looking powdering. This will also work in combination with the primer to help your liquid foundation not slide off your face when you start to sweat or if you have naturally oily skin.
Blush
Don’t go out looking dead, a little blush will go a long way. It’s important to find the right blush color for your skin tone. There are charts all over so take to Google if you’re not sure what shade is right for you. Don’t skip this step just because you are afraid of color! With the right color, you will up your makeup game by far!
Mascara
This totally completes your look. Adding black mascara to your top lashes will open your eyes and have you looking ready to conquer your day. You will be more confident when you run into someone, even if it’s just the mailman or your significant other.
After a few days of mastering each of these steps, you can complete these 5 steps in 5 minutes. I promise you have 5 minutes in your morning to pamper yourself. It’s hard as a stay at home mom, you have limited adult convo and usually let yourself look a little homeless. Throw on some makeup and take on your day! The job you are doing is important and a little confidence will have you FEELING the importance of your role. Now go and get ‘em super mom!
