Whether you and your significant other have been together for years or months, you know Valentine’s Day is a big deal. Some may label it as a Hallmark Holiday, but in our house, Valentine’s Day is all about showing the people you love just how much you appreciate them. But between me and you – a box of chocolates and flowers gets kind of old, really quickly. So if you’re wondering how else you can show your gratitude this Valentine’s Day, we’ve rounded up some of our favorite ways to switch up your plans for Valentine’s Day.
Take a Trip
It doesn’t have to be expensive, but it can be as simple as going somewhere that’s only an hour or so away. Whether you decide to take a day trip or take the whole weekend off, it’s a great way to spend time with each other and share some new experiences together.
Wine Tasting
Who needs boxes of chocolates when you have unlimited wine? This is a great way to spend a date night or even invent a new Valentine’s Day tradition!
Recreate Your First Date
If you’re both fairly sentimental, this is a date night idea perfect for you! Recreating your first date is such a romantic way to honor your past while celebrating your future. It’s such a fun way to remember where you came from and celebrate everything that’s happened since then!
Spa Day
What better way to spend Valentine’s Day than relaxing with your best friend? You can choose to spend a few hours getting a massage or even make a whole day out of it!
Create Something Together
Last but not least, a great way to spend time with each other and get to know each other even better is by creating something together! It can be as simple as taking a pottery class or even creating a craft at home.
No matter how you decide to spend Valentine’s Day, it will always be memorable when you’re spending it with those you love. What are some of your favorite plans for Valentine’s Day? Let us know in the comments below!
