When your kiddos are finally old enough to celebrate New Year’s Eve, you have so many options you’ve never had before. Believe it or not, a good New Year’s Eve celebration doesn’t have to start with a babysitter. In honor of finding ways to celebrate with your best friends and kiddos, we’ve rounded up our favorite ways to celebrate a New Year’s Eve night-in!
Wine Tasting
This is definitely something that should only be reserved for adults, but it’s such a fun way to celebrate the New Year! You can have each of your guests bring a variety of wines: white, red, rose – whatever you want! We love to have everyone bring a cheap bottle of wine, cover them in brown bags and number them, then have everyone try to guess the most expensive bottle. It’s tons of fun and makes for great memories!
Game Night
What better way to enjoy New Year’s Eve than kicking some butt in some board games? This is such a lighthearted and fun way to celebrate the holiday. Plus it’s age-appropriate for everyone!
Food Contest
If you’re planning on having 10-15 people over, a great way to reduce stress while party planning is to have them provide the food! You can either do a pot luck or select one food and have everyone compete for the best one.
Gift Exchange
If you’ve got some pretty obscure gifts this holiday season you’re looking to get rid of, what better way than to have a fun holiday exchange with your closest friends? Invite some of your closest friends over and have them bring a few wonderful gifts. You can check out the official white elephant gift rules to make sure everything goes smoothly!
